Downtown Cary Holiday Lights

Downtown Cary has gone all out with the lights and holidays displays this year! These photos are just a small sample of the offerings down Academy Street and its offshoots. While there admittedly is a lot of Christmas, we did note at least 1 Chanukah, 1 Kwanzaa, and several winter/non-denominational-themed ones. We very much enjoyed walking amongst the lights.

This is all free and open to the public.

The “Letters to Santa” box is at the old library site on Academy across from Cotton House Craft Brewers.

On photo 9 here, I tried to give you an idea of where most of the displays are - along Academy, Chatham, and down by the library and Cary Arts Center.

Parking: There is very minimal street parking along Academy and Chatham, but if you aren’t lucky enough to find a spot there, try the parking at:

• The garage at the new library

• The old library site

• The lots down Waldo Street

• The lots at and around Cary Town Hall

On photo 10 here, I put some cars as labels on the map to show you these parking locations.

Have you been to see these holiday decorations in downtown Cary? If you have, let us know your favorite one in the comments!
