Lumino City Festival at Pullen Park - Raleigh, NC

Writer's picture: PeterPeter

Have to share this quick, AMAZING tip that we stumbled upon completely by surprise this weekend: my best friend is in town and we decided to show them Pullen Park due to their love of carousels. When we arrived, as you can see from the photos, we were amazed to find the park has been transformed to host an event very much like the NC Chinese Lantern Festival (information about the event is in the last photo). This is a paid event, but setup for the event is currently happening, the park is still open regular hours (no entrance fee), and it is so cool to check out. Dinosaurs, animals, Disney characters (mostly Alice in Wonderland but noticed a few others, too), and more!

Pullen Park will have some closures in the evenings for this festival on certain dates beginning Feb. 18th through April 9th, but during the day it appears that the park will continue to be open. I’m sure these beautiful works of art are incredible when lit up at night, but we were oo-ing and ah-ing walking around and checking them out in the daytime. We even saw some people doing the incredible work of creating these works of art. And the best part - it was all free in the daytime!

Highly recommend you get out NOW to see this cool event.

Hope you’re all having a great weekend!
